What it means

The request breaks one of the API’s rules. The reason field says which one.

Typical causes

• See the reason: UnknownOperation, CannotParse, FieldValidationFailed, InvalidAssociate, InvalidPartnerTag or Other.

How to fix it

1. Look up the specific reason code in this lexicon.
2. For reason Other, read the message field.

• FieldValidationFailed: A required field is missing or has an invalid value. The `fieldList` in the response names it.
• InvalidPartnerTag: The partner tag is wrong, or it belongs to a different Associates account than your credential.
