MissingClaim (UnauthorizedException): Amazon Creators API error

HTTP 401UnauthorizedExceptionAuthentication (401)Documented by Amazon

What it means

The token is missing information the API needs, usually because it was requested with the wrong scope.

Message returned by the API: The authentication token is missing required claims.

Typical causes

  • Token requested without scope or with a wrong scope.

How to fix it

  1. Request the token with scope creatorsapi::default (v3.x) or creatorsapi/default (v2.x).

Not sure which part fails? Run Test credentials in the Scratchpad. It checks the token, the API access and the partner tag separately.
